Volunteer ServicesAudio-Visual/Computers: Inventory, clean, repair equipment and materials. Contact: Mrs. Rohlfing Board of Directors: Elected members of the Carden School of Fresno’s Board of Directors serving a two year term receive twenty (20) volunteer hours credit. One hour minimum volunteer hours’ credit for each regular meeting attended. Contact: Mrs. Heidi Feeney at glikbarg@sbcglobal.net. Box Tops for Education: Cut and count box tops for redemption for cash for our school. Contact: Mrs. Caroline Wiehl at caroline_wiehl@yahoo.com. Carnival: Work on the fall Harvest and Halloween Carnival fundraiser. Set-up, tear down, work on and in booths, and chair committees, etc. Contact: Mrs. Christi Kalmbach or Mrs. Rebecca Rico. Field Trips: Drivers are always needed to transport students on various field trips. Contact: Teacher coordinating field trip. Graduation Trip: Assistance is needed to organize and plan the 8th grade field trip. Contact: Mrs. Rohlfing. Jog-a-thon: Assist with this student fundraiser. Contact: Mrs. Courtney Smith at CSMITH0211@aol.com. Library Assistant: Assistance is always needed to keep the library clean and organized. Contact: Mrs. Courtney Smith at CSMITH0211@aol.com. Lost and Found: Sort and return all lost and found articles monthly. Contact: Mrs. Perry in school office. Maintenance and Site Beautification: Continuous promotion of pride to keep our school clean and well maintained. Periodically various construction and/or planting projects require assistance. Parent Club: Attending Parent Club meetings is a great way to become involved, find out what is happening at school, meet people and gain parent volunteer hours. Parent Club Officers: The Parent Club Officers govern the Parent Club which promotes/plans fundraisers, provides teacher grants, and purchases various items for the school. Pizza Friday: Assistance is needed to help organize and deliver pizza on Fridays. Contact: caroline_wiehl@yahoo.com Photographer/Historian: Photographs and keeps albums of school and Parent Club activities. Contact: Mrs. Courtney Smith at CSMITH0211@aol.com. Room Parents: Each classroom requires one or more room parents to assist with field trips, class parties, and various classroom activities as requested by the teacher. Parents serving in this capacity receive 20 volunteer hours unless there are two room parents, and then each will receive 10 volunteer hours. Contact: Individual Teacher Science Fair: Assist Mr. Mancebo in set-up, coaching, and transportation for this event. Contact: Mr. Mancebo Student Council: Assist the Student Council with various community projects. Contact: Mrs. Rohlfing Social Events: Doughnuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Mother-Son Bowling and Butterfly Ball are all social events hosted by the Parent Club. Sports: Volunteers are needed to assist Mr. Villarreal with transportation and coaching if needed. Contact: Mr. Villerreal. Take Home Teacher Projects: Teachers needing assistance with organizing or cutting various things for their classroom or craft projects will leave a packet in the office on Monday mornings to be picked up by a volunteer. All packets will need to be returned by Wednesday afternoon. Contact: Mrs. Perry in the school office. From time to time the school will need some assistance not listed above.
