STUDENT COUNCIL

Carden School of Fresno has a Student Council as its leadership group. Students who are enrolled by July 1 for the next school year are eligible to be selected. The selection process involves the entire Carden staff. Students are chosen based on the following:

  • Responsibility and Trustworthiness
  • Kindness
  • Poise and Articulation
  • Stamina in classwork and homework

Two students from each grade level are chosen, beginning in first grade, for a total of sixteen members. The students serve for the entire academic year. If any member is unable to serve out the term due to illness, relocation, academics, or behavior, another student from that same grade level may be chosen to complete the term, or a former member may be asked to step in for the remainder of the term. The student may have an opportunity to serve again in his or her academic career at Carden. Members meet after school every other Monday and at other times specific to Carden’s needs. The representatives’ duties include the following:
